(R&S), one of Californias largest general contracting firms, announced today the appointment of Allen A. Rudolph to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Rudolph, 45, is being promoted from within Rudolph and Sletten, where he has served as President since January 1, 2001. As CEO, Mr. Rudolph will continue to hold the title of President. Established in 1960, Rudolph and Sletten, a Forbes 500 company, specializes in construction projects for high-tech research and manufacturing, biotechnology, pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare, entertainment, and corporate offices and campuses. Allen Rudolphs rise to CEO is the culmination of a 20-plus year career with Rudolph and Sletten. A fifth-generation builder, Mr. Rudolph has spent every summer since he was fifteen working in the field, as a carpenter, a laborer on concrete crews and as safety manager. After graduation from college Mr. Rudolph worked his way up through the management ranks of project engineer, project manager, estimator and vice president of marketing. Last year, while he served as President, Rudolph and Sletten completed the Pacific Shores Business Park, the Sun Microsystems Santa Clara Campus, and COPIA: The American Center for Wine, Food and the Arts in Napa, among other innovative and diverse projects. Because of Mr. Rudolphs wide experience, he is regarded as one of the countrys most knowledgeable executives in the field of high-technology construction.
